One of the many programs funded by the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation deals with supporting our country’s veterans and their families. This typically comes in the form of our work with the Maine Veterans’ Homes and the VA Hospital in Togus. We had an opportunity to extend that work to a golf fund raiser this summer. The annual Bath Iron Works golf scramble to benefit “House in the Woods” recently took place and the Foundation was a hole sponsor. House in the Woods is a retreat in Maine that allows service members and their families a place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with others. The golf scramble raised almost $9,000 to go toward the great work done at House in the Woods. A sincere congratulations goes out to all involved.
