Leadership Changes at the Foundation

A heartfelt good-bye and thank you…

It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Trustees announces

Amanda Larson’s departure as the Executive Director of the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation.  Amanda has played an important role in the development and success of the foundation over the past eighteen months, and while we will miss her and her inspiring leadership, we wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors.  We want to thank Amanda for her efforts and hard work.

Introducing our new Executive Director!

Masons, friends and supporters it looks like winter is truly behind us – the snow is melting and the buds are starting to appear on the trees.  Spring will be in full force shortly and we feel fortunate to announce that the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation is kicking off this spring with some exciting news – the Board of Trustees has appointed Susan Scacchi to be our new Executive Director.

Susan comes to us with over two decades of senior executive leadership and nonprofit board service experience.  Her background includes work with small, large, publicly held and privately owned for-profit businesses, as well as, extensive experience working with nonprofits – both as a senior executive and seasoned board member.  Susan served several terms on the board for Special Olympics of New Hampshire (SONH), including two terms as their Treasurer.  Susan also served as an active member of the board for the NH Center for Nonprofits (Center).  In her work with the Center and with SONH, Susan gained valuable knowledge and experience within the nonprofit sector – working directly on fundraising and planned giving campaigns, board assessments and strategic planning initiatives. Susan brings to the Foundation strong leadership and vision, and is positioned to ensure that the Foundation not only capitalizes on its recent successes but will also be successful in implementing its plan of strategic growth in grant programs, development and outreach.

“Becoming the Executive Director of the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation is my ideal job,” said Susan, “I am looking forward to bringing my energy, perspective, experience and passion to the Foundation.  I am excited and looking forward to building partnerships within the nonprofit sector and with businesses and government agencies to build stronger, healthier communities in Maine.”
